Last weeks column discussed the belief of social anthropologist Dr. Jennifer James that the United States is currently in a society-wide moral void when it comes to the economy. By moral void, she doesnt mean a lack of morality, but rather a time of panic and inability to make logical and common-sense decisions.

Mary Ann Glendon Declines Notre Dame Award over Barack Obama, Abortion — 4.27.09

(4.27.09) — The fallout from the University of Notre Dame’s highly controversial decision to invite ardent abortion supporter Barack Obama to speak at the Catholic school’s commencement continues.

Mary Ann Glendon is one of Barack Obama’s former Harvard Law professors, as well as a former United States ambassador to the Vatican.
